Journalist Roxanne Hawn
Journalism is fun.
I get to chat with interesting people, learn new things, and combine it all into something interesting for others to read and experience.
When I’m in the zone, there’s nothing like it.
So much has changed, but I keep doing journalism work when I can because I love it so much.
Freelance Journalist
From newspapers, including The New York Times, The Denver Post, The Los Angeles Times, and magazines like Eating Well and Reader’s Digest to regional and trade magazines and various online media outlets, editors bought and published my writing on topics like these in actual print publications.
Now, of course, the vast majority of my work publishes online.
Topics I Have Covered
Profiles of people and businesses
Consumer & business trends
Pets, especially dogs
Veterinary medicine
Other pet-related professions

Quick Note About Journalism Ethics
I cannot pitch articles about, write about, or quote my other content/writing clients in my traditional journalism work for various media outlets. Maybe I’m old fashioned about that, but I was taught in school and in my early newspaper days that’s a big no-no.
I’d be thrilled to help you with your own content, but I cannot front for you with my other media editors.
Thanks for understanding.
